Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rebecca At The Well by Francesco Hayez was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 700,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 740,000.00 (€ 667,087.35). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Hayez - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Il Bacio, which sold at auction in April 2016 for USD 1,865,000.00 (€ 1,630,102.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rebecca At The Well von Francesco Hayez kam im Januar 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 700.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 740.000,00 (€ 667.087,35) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Francesco Hayez mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Il Bacio beobachtet, die im April 2016 für USD 1.865.000,00 (€ 1.630.102,26) versteigert wurde.
