Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work Two Battle Scenes by Francesco Graziani. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,786.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francesco Graziani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Battle Scenes Between Christians And Turks, which sold at auction in April 2010 for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,577.58).
