In July this year Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Saint Jerome experiencing a vision of the Madonna and Child supported by angels by Francesco Brizio. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,048.00 (€ 7,056.18). Other works by Francesco Brizio have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,361.60) in January 2013 for the work Carlo And Ubaldo In The Enchanted Garden Of Armida.
