The work Flat Figurine in the round, so to speak by Frances Stark was worth GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,217.92) to a buyer in September 2017. This price was achieved in the auction First Open at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frances Stark; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Image Proof sold at auction in July 2021 with the realized price of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,658.84).
