Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Harris Hawk and Arctic Shadow (a group of two) by Floyd Scholz was sold in the Animalia auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in October last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,402.50 (€ 1,411.82), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Floyd Scholz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jungle Fire (Ornate Hawk Eagle with Sulpher Breasted Toucan) in October last year with an auction result of USD 23,587.50 (€ 23,744.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Harris Hawk and Arctic Shadow (a group of two) von Floyd Scholz wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Animalia bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.402,50 (€ 1.411,82) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Floyd Scholz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jungle Fire (Ornate Hawk Eagle with Sulpher Breasted Toucan) im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.587,50 (€ 23.744,21).
