Despite a disappointment, a good price for Floyd B. Evans
When the work Landscapes by Floyd B. Evans was auctioned at Christies in New York in August 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 600.00 (€ 486.62). Despite this disappointing result, Landscapes is the most expensive artwork by Floyd B. Evans that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Landscapes von Floyd B. Evans im August 2005 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 600,00 (€ 486,62) den Besitzer.
