Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2001 Christies in London held the auction British And Continental Watercolours And Drawings, which included the work The goose girl by Florence Mackay. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 564.00 (€ 911.51). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Florence Mackay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Feeding the doves, which sold at auction in December 2004 for GBP 1,912.00 (€ 2,706.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion British And Continental Watercolours And Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The goose girl von Florence Mackay zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 564,00 (€ 911,51) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Florence Mackay mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Feeding the doves beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für GBP 1.912,00 (€ 2.706,01) versteigert wurde.
