Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

It achieved a price of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,221.77), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pelagio Palagi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'incontro di Carlo VIII e Gian Galeazzo Sforza a Pavia nel 1494 in May 2010 with an auction result of EUR 63,800.00.

Die Arbeit Hercules Presenting Dejaneira With The Horn of Achelous von Pelagio Palagi kam im Juli 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.221,77) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pelagio Palagi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'incontro di Carlo VIII e Gian Galeazzo Sforza a Pavia nel 1494 im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 63.800,00.
