Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work Sin título by Fidelio Ponce de León for USD 17,925.00 (€ 15,234.57). This price was achieved in the auction LATIN AMERICAN ART at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Fidelio Ponce de León have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Joven con pecera in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,352.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sin título von Fidelio Ponce de León für USD 17.925,00 (€ 15.234,57) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion LATIN AMERICAN ART bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fidelio Ponce de León auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Joven con pecera im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.352,81).
