Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Des cheveux noirs (L'Ange du mal) by Fernand Khnopff was sold in the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 67,273.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fernand Khnopff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Belgian les Enfants De Monsieur Neve in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 422,500.00 (€ 493,968.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Des cheveux noirs (L'Ange du mal) von Fernand Khnopff wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 67.273,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fernand Khnopff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Belgian les Enfants De Monsieur Neve im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 422.500,00 (€ 493.968,47).
