Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Bear Hug (A Tense Moment in the Mountains) by Fernand Harvey Lungren was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,233.70), 19% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fernand Harvey Lungren - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paris, which sold at auction in February 2014 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,243.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Bear Hug (A Tense Moment in the Mountains) von Fernand Harvey Lungren wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.233,70) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Fernand Harvey Lungren mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paris beobachtet, die im Februar 2014 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.243,23) versteigert wurde.
