In April 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work In The Mountains by Fernand Harvey Lungren. The price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,170.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Fernand Harvey Lungren have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2014 the work Paris was auctioned for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,243.23).
