Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Studies for the Justice of Trajan by Eugène Delacroix was auctioned at Christies in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,952.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Delacroix achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tigre jouant avec une tortue in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 9,875,000.00 (€ 8,461,868.04).

Die Arbeit Studies for the Justice of Trajan von Eugène Delacroix kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.952,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Delacroix erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tigre jouant avec une tortue im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.875.000,00 (€ 8.461.868,04).
