Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Four figure studies of Bedouins and three of head studies; and Studies of two seated men by Eugène Delacroix was auctioned at Christies in London in July last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,611.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Delacroix achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tigre jouant avec une tortue in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 9,875,000.00 (€ 8,461,868.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Four figure studies of Bedouins and three of head studies; and Studies of two seated men von Eugène Delacroix kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.611,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Delacroix erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tigre jouant avec une tortue im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.875.000,00 (€ 8.461.868,04).
