Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selbstbewusst by Ferdinand Max Bredt was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. The price achieved of USD 93,750.00 (€ 83,437.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ferdinand Max Bredt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Oriental Noblewoman And Her Entourage On A Barge, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 131,200.00 (€ 194,446.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Selbstbewusst von Ferdinand Max Bredt wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 83.437,17) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Max Bredt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An Oriental Noblewoman And Her Entourage On A Barge beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 131.200,00 (€ 194.446,69) versteigert wurde.
