In April 2002 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and, which included the work Faraway Thoughts by Ferdinand Heilbuth. It changed hands for a price of USD 39,435.00 (€ 43,806.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Faraway Thoughts is the most expensive artwork by Ferdinand Heilbuth that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im April 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Barbizon, Realist and durch, in der auch die Arbeit Faraway Thoughts von Ferdinand Heilbuth zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 39.435,00 (€ 43.806,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00.
