It achieved a price of GBP 121,250.00 (€ 145,789.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red and white grapes and silver tableware on a marble ledge, which sold at auction in July 2010 for GBP 301,250.00 (€ 362,219.18).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 121.250,00 (€ 145.789,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red and white grapes and silver tableware on a marble ledge beobachtet, die im Juli 2010 für GBP 301.250,00 (€ 362.219,18) versteigert wurde.
