The work View of Lake Altaussee and the Dachstein by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 225,000.00 (€ 250,970.36), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Red and white grapes and silver tableware on a marble ledge sold at auction in July 2010 with the realized price of GBP 301,250.00 (€ 362,219.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit View of Lake Altaussee and the Dachstein von Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 225.000,00 (€ 250.970,36) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Red and white grapes and silver tableware on a marble ledge im Juli 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 301.250,00 (€ 362.219,18).
