Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Dwelling In The Mountains by Feng Chaoran. The price achieved of HKD 50,000 (€ 5,285) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 40,000 - 60,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Feng Chaoran achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in October 2010 with an auction result of HKD 3,740,000 (€ 347,243).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dwelling In The Mountains von Feng Chaoran zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000 (€ 5.285) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000 – 60.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Feng Chaoran erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.740.000 (€ 347.243).
