Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait of George Bernard Shaw by Feliks Topolski was auctioned at Christies in New York in June 2014. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,250.00 (€ 913.08). Admittedly, works by Feliks Topolski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sir Winston Churchill in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,414.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait of George Bernard Shaw von Feliks Topolski kam im Juni 2014 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.250,00 (€ 913,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Feliks Topolski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sir Winston Churchill im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.414,60).
