The work Figures before an archway, Tangier by Felix Possart was sold in the 19th Century European Pictures auction at Christies in London in September 2003. The price achieved of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 4,142.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Figures before an archway, Tangier is the most expensive artwork by Felix Possart that we have observed at auctions so far.
