Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A Moor seated by a fountain in the Alhambra by Felix Possart. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 570.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Felix Possart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures before an archway, Tangier in September 2003 with an auction result of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 4,142.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Moor seated by a fountain in the Alhambra von Felix Possart zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 352,50 (€ 570,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Felix Possart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures before an archway, Tangier im September 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.112,50 (€ 4.142,41).
