The work Landscape by Felix Martinez was worth HKD 1,147,500.00 (€ 94,568.51) to a buyer in April 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Felix Martinez; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot River Landscape sold at auction in April 2011 with the realized price of HKD 2,060,000.00 (€ 179,021.66).
