Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work "Untitled" by Félix González-Torres. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000,000.00 – 7,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,195,600.00 (€ 4,366,784.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Félix González-Torres have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2015 the work "Untitled" (L.A.) was auctioned for USD 7,669,000.00 (€ 7,260,935.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Untitled" von Félix González-Torres zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000.000,00 – 7.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.195.600,00 (€ 4.366.784,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Félix González-Torres konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2015 die Arbeit "Untitled" (L.A.) für USD 7.669.000,00 (€ 7.260.935,43) versteigert.
