The »bidding war« ended at GBP 717.00 (€ 1,073.28), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Felice Auguste Rezia have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The market before the grand clock, Rouen; and Another similar of a bustling market town in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,425.63).
