Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A pair of collage works: Untitled (Curious Scenes Witnessed), Untitled (U.S. Calvary) by Felipe Jesus Consalvos was auctioned at Christies in January this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 4,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,785.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Felipe Jesus Consalvos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Model Boat, 1920-1950, which sold at auction in January 2019 for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,547.93).

Als die Arbeit A pair of collage works: Untitled (Curious Scenes Witnessed), Untitled (U.S. Calvary) von Felipe Jesus Consalvos im Januar diesen Jahres bei Christies versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.785,04) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Felipe Jesus Consalvos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Model Boat, 1920-1950 beobachtet, die im Januar 2019 für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.547,93) versteigert wurde.
