Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled (landscape), 1987 by Feliciano Bejar was auctioned at Bonhams in January this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 280.50 (€ 258.33). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Feliciano Bejar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life of a vase of flowers in front of a cityscape, which sold at auction in January 2009 for USD 687.50 (€ 536.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled (landscape), 1987 von Feliciano Bejar im Januar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 280,50 (€ 258,33) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Feliciano Bejar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life of a vase of flowers in front of a cityscape beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für USD 687,50 (€ 536,94) versteigert wurde.
