Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Giovinetto Nel Bosco by Felice Casorati was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in May 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 27,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Felice Casorati achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lo studio in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 605,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Giovinetto Nel Bosco von Felice Casorati im Mai 2015 bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 27.500,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Felice Casorati erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lo studio im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 605.600,00.
