Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishing on the Bay of Naples by Friedrich Paul Nerly was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,492.53) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Friedrich Paul Nerly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blick auf die Bucht vor Neapel und dem Vesuv im Hintergrund in May 2013 with an auction result of EUR 19,350.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fishing on the Bay of Naples von Friedrich Paul Nerly kam im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.492,53) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Friedrich Paul Nerly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blick auf die Bucht vor Neapel und dem Vesuv im Hintergrund im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.350,00.
