Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Couple) by Farid Belkahia. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,827.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Farid Belkahia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jerusalem in March 2020 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 225,840.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Couple) von Farid Belkahia zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.827,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Farid Belkahia erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jerusalem im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 225.840,96).
