Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Put Your Gun Down by Farah Ossouli was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,743.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Farah Ossouli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (From Hafiz Series), which sold at auction in April 2010 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,191.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Put Your Gun Down von Farah Ossouli im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.743,05) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Farah Ossouli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (From Hafiz Series) beobachtet, die im April 2010 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.191,25) versteigert wurde.
