This artwork by Fang Wanyi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Birds And Flowers sold for HKD 90,000.00 (€ 9,847.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fang Wanyi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ink Plum Blossom in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 95,904.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fang Wanyi erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Birds And Flowers für HKD 90.000,00 (€ 9.847,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fang Wanyi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ink Plum Blossom im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 95.904,08).
