Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Plant by Fang Marvin-Minto. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,180.53), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Marvin-Minto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bonsai, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 36,708.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plant von Fang Marvin-Minto zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.180,53) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Marvin-Minto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bonsai beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 36.708,31) versteigert wurde.
