Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A: Shakei-Borrowing Landscape 1; B: Shakei-Borrowing Landscape 2; C: Shakei-Borrowing Landscape 6 Three Works by Fang Marvin-Minto was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 90,000.00 – 180,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,710.20). Admittedly, works by Fang Marvin-Minto have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bonsai in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 36,708.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A: Shakei-Borrowing Landscape 1; B: Shakei-Borrowing Landscape 2; C: Shakei-Borrowing Landscape 6 Three Works von Fang Marvin-Minto im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 90.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.710,20) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fang Marvin-Minto auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bonsai im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 36.708,31).
