Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Reading in the Mountains by Fang Dayou was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,119.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Dayou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Birds And Flowers Among Pine Trees, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 218,500.00 (€ 20,734.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Reading in the Mountains von Fang Dayou kam im Juni 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.119,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Dayou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Birds And Flowers Among Pine Trees beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 218.500,00 (€ 20.734,52) versteigert wurde.
