Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poems in Running-Cursive Script by Fang Dayou was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Paris in June this year. The price achieved of HKD 40,320.00 (€ 4,711.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fang Dayou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Birds And Flowers Among Pine Trees in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 218,500.00 (€ 20,734.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poems in Running-Cursive Script von Fang Dayou wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 40.320,00 (€ 4.711,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fang Dayou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Birds And Flowers Among Pine Trees im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 218.500,00 (€ 20.734,52).
