Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Laozi Leaving the Hangu Pass by Fan Zeng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 592,200.00 (€ 68,524.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fan Zeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Finishing Touch of the Dragon Eye in August last year with an auction result of HKD 17,700,000.00 (€ 2,240,417.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Laozi Leaving the Hangu Pass von Fan Zeng kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 592.200,00 (€ 68.524,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fan Zeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Finishing Touch of the Dragon Eye im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.700.000,00 (€ 2.240.417,29).
