Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Fan Zeng was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 26,400.00 (€ 3,383.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fan Zeng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Finishing Touch of the Dragon Eye in August last year with an auction result of HKD 17,700,000.00 (€ 2,240,417.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Fan Zeng wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 26.400,00 (€ 3.383,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fan Zeng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Finishing Touch of the Dragon Eye im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.700.000,00 (€ 2.240.417,29).
