Artwork auctioned at nine times the upper estimate price
The work Bird On The Rock by Fan Zeng was worth HKD 456,000.00 (€ 465,665.22) to a buyer in April this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Fan Zeng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Finishing Touch of the Dragon Eye in August last year with an auction result of HKD 17,700,000.00 (€ 2,240,417.29).

Die Arbeit Bird On The Rock von Fan Zeng war einem Käufer im April diesen Jahres HKD 456.000,00 (€ 465.665,22) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fan Zeng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Finishing Touch of the Dragon Eye im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.700.000,00 (€ 2.240.417,29).
