Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fahrelnissa Zeid achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in May this year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, the work Lavender sold for GBP 89,300.00 (€ 103,901.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fahrelnissa Zeid achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Break Of The Atom And Vegetal Life in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,741,000.00 (€ 2,016,330.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fahrelnissa Zeid erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art wurde die Arbeit Lavender für GBP 89.300,00 (€ 103.901,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fahrelnissa Zeid erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Break Of The Atom And Vegetal Life im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.741.000,00 (€ 2.016.330,73).
