Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Formasi (Formation) by Fadjar Sidik was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 45,000.00 – 55,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,793.40). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fadjar Sidik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dinamika Ruang (Space Dynamics), which sold at auction in November 2018 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,340.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Formasi (Formation) von Fadjar Sidik im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 45.000,00 – 55.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.793,40) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Fadjar Sidik mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dinamika Ruang (Space Dynamics) beobachtet, die im November 2018 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.340,99) versteigert wurde.
