Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Italian in The Harem by Fabio Fabbi was sold in the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,165.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fabio Fabbi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tambourine Dance in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 363,200.00 (€ 302,792.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Italian in The Harem von Fabio Fabbi wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.165,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fabio Fabbi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Tambourine Dance im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 363.200,00 (€ 302.792,83).
