In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work In the Rice Field by Fabian de La Rosa. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 680,000.00 (€ 67,186.25), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Fabian de La Rosa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Women working in a rice field in October 2000 with an auction result of SGD 713,750.00 (€ 478,749.12).

Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the Rice Field von Fabian de La Rosa zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 680.000,00 (€ 67.186,25) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fabian de La Rosa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Women working in a rice field im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SGD 713.750,00 (€ 478.749,12).
