Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Still life with Vase of Summer Flowers and Bird Nest by F. van Geit was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 535.50 (€ 634.42). Admittedly, works by F. van Geit have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peonies, tulips and other summer flowers in a glass vase on a stone ledge in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 2,585.00 (€ 4,167.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Still life with Vase of Summer Flowers and Bird Nest von F. van Geit wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion The Scottish Sale bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 535,50 (€ 634,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von F. van Geit auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peonies, tulips and other summer flowers in a glass vase on a stone ledge im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.585,00 (€ 4.167,34).
