The work The Iliad Room, the Pitti Palace by F. Maestosi was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction at Christies in London in January 2002. It achieved a price of GBP 7,872.50 (€ 12,934.57), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 57%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by F. Maestosi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot La sala dell'Iliad, Pitti Palace, Florence sold at auction in June 2002 with the realized price of GBP 11,950.00 (€ 18,483.94).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 7.872,50 (€ 12.934,57) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 57%.
