This artwork by Evgeny Chubarov achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2016. In the Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,236.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Evgeny Chubarov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 692,000.00 (€ 1,026,893.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Evgeny Chubarov erzielte im November 2016 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 137.500,00 (€ 162.236,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Evgeny Chubarov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 692.000,00 (€ 1.026.893,20).
