Auction result well in line with expectations
The work By The Spring by Evgeni Mitrofanovich Zaitsev was sold in the IMPRESSIONIST AND MODERN ART auction at Christies in London in April 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,598.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Evgeni Mitrofanovich Zaitsev have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2005 the work On Liberated Land was auctioned for GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,687.37).
