Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Carl G. Evers could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Ocean Liner auction, the work Grace Line; Caribbean-South American cruises changed hands for USD 360.00 (€ 266.27) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl G. Evers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Palm Trees on a Florida beach in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,752.10).
