Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Maritime, which included the work M.S. Homeric leaving New York harbor by Carl G. Evers. The price achieved of USD 2,400.00 (€ 1,750.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Carl G. Evers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Palm Trees on a Florida beach in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,752.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Maritime durch, in der auch die Arbeit M.S. Homeric leaving New York harbor von Carl G. Evers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.400,00 (€ 1.750,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carl G. Evers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Palm Trees on a Florida beach im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.752,10).
