Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Portrait of Mrs Mary St John Hutchinson by Eve Disher. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25.00 – 200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 29.88 (€ 44.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eve Disher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Blonde Girl in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 223.25 (€ 364.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Mrs Mary St John Hutchinson von Eve Disher zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 25,00 – 200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 29,88 (€ 44,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eve Disher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Blonde Girl im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 223,25 (€ 364,76).
